Privacy Policy

The Shirley Raines Legacy Grant is a program of Beauty 2 The Streetz ("we," "us"), a California nonprofit public benefit corporation. This policy explains what we collect when you use grant.b2ts.org, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you apply, nominate someone, or sign in, we collect the information you give us: your name, email, and (if you provide them) phone number and location; the answers you write about your work and mission; any photos, video links, or social links you add; and, for nominations, the nominee's name and contact and your name and contact if you choose to share them. When you sign in we use a one-time email link; we do not store a password.
How we use it
To review applications and run the grant, to send you transactional email about your submission or sign-in, to contact recipients, and to operate and improve the program. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who sees it
Your application is visible to our review committee and authorized staff. Committee access is restricted and logged, and reviewers can only see what their role allows. We use trusted service providers to host the site and database and to send email; they process data only on our behalf. Uploaded photos and files are stored privately and served through temporary secure links, not public URLs.
How it is protected
Data is access-controlled at the database level so you can only see your own submission, and files sit in a private store. We keep a secure internal history of submission changes so nothing is lost.
How long we keep it
We retain grant records (applications, nominations, scoring, decisions, and related documents) for at least seven years to meet our recordkeeping and compliance obligations, then dispose of them securely.
Your choices
You can edit or delete your own application at any time from your dashboard. To ask a question or request access to or deletion of your information, email grants@b2ts.org. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act); contact us and we will honor applicable requests.
Children
This program is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided us information, contact grants@b2ts.org and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date above will change and, for material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify applicants.
